Our story
Where it began
Some stories begin with a chance meeting. Ours began with a shared purpose.
We met through our work in homelessness services, brought together by a mutual love of helping people. It gave us an immediate understanding of what mattered to each other: kindness, compassion and being there for people when they need it most.

Our first date
A day at the beach in Hornsea, getting to know each other over an ice cream. A simple, happy moment—and the beginning of so much more.
What began with a common purpose grew into a partnership, a life together and, now, the beginning of our next chapter.
5 November 2025
The proposal
One very important question, followed by one very happy yes.
On 5 November 2025, we became engaged. It was the moment the life we were already building together became a promise to share all the chapters still to come.
Our family
Already a family
One of the most beautiful parts of our story has been becoming a family together.
From the very beginning, Alisha welcomed Henry into her heart. She has been patient, loving, fun and always there for him, and watching the bond between them grow has meant more to James than words can say.
From football matches and family days to holidays and new adventures, we have made so many happy memories as the three of us. Our wedding is not only the start of a new chapter—it is a celebration of the family we have already become.
August 2025
And then came Coco
In August 2025, Coco joined our family and it felt as though she had always been meant to be with us. She brought even more love, laughter and the occasional muddy pawprint into our home.
Henry and Coco quickly became the best of friends, and she is now at the heart of our everyday family life—and, naturally, very much part of our story too.

Our shared soundtrack
Music has become part of the rhythm of our life together. From Becky Hill to Ed Sheeran, some of our happiest memories have been made side by side—singing along, laughing and sharing the excitement of live music.
Every concert has given us another song, another story and another moment to remember together.
